Characteristics common within this specie will result in an amber color achieved by a process of pressure heating the bamboo slats to “brown” the sugar compounds naturally present in the plant.
Vertical grain represents a type of construction in which bamboo slats are laminated face to face with the edges exposed at the face and back of the sheet to form a glue-up with no internal voids. The resulting look will have no cross grain plies and the grain will run in the same direction.
This product is most desirable when using a Natural/Clear Coat (no stain) finish.
