Spray No Wipe 2-Step Stain

Spray No Wipe 2-Step is similar to our regular Spray No Wipe process, except the color is applied in two steps, with dry time between coats.

Spray No Wipe Stain

Spray No Wipe stains are applied by spraying the material onto the product and allowing it to dry. There is no wiping of the door to remove excess material.

Wiping Stains

Wiping stains are applied by spraying the stain onto the product and immediately wiping off the excess material with a rag. This process is by far the most common finishing method in the wood industry.

Natural / Clear Coat (no stain)

Catalyzed Conversion Varnish is the base of our Natural (clear coat). Conversion varnishes produce high quality, abrasion resistant finishes. Conversion varnishes are also fast drying, they contain self sealers and they have excellent non-yellowing properties. WalzCraft Sealers and Topcoats are applied on a flat line finishing system which distributes a perfectly even amount of material throughout each product.

Color Samples

WalzCraft does not stock color block samples in this particular wood species and stain combination. For a color sample, we recommend ordering a small sample drawer front or door in this wood species and stain.

Photosensitive Darkening Process

It is natural for Cherry, Lyptus & Mahogany wood to darken over time due to the natural photosensitive darkening process. For these wood species, WalzCraft recommends ordering new samples if the current date exceeds the “Ship Date” by more than 1 year.

SolidTone® WoodGrain

SolidTone® WoodGrain finishes are composed of solid color pigments mixed with topcoat. This prefinish process is the same as with SolidTone® colors, minus the primer, where product is scuff sanded and receives a coat of solid color.

The SolidTone® WoodGrain finish is available in all SolidTone® colors on all grades of Ash, Red Oak and White Oak.

SolidTone® Color

SolidTone® finishes are composed of solid color pigments mixed with topcoat. A coat of primer is applied first. After drying, the product is scuff sanded and receives a coat of solid color.

We suggest using SolidTone® colors on the following wood species:

• Maple – Paint (Maple or Solid MDF Center Panel)
• Birch – Paint (Birch or Solid MDF Center Panel)
• Poplar – Paint (Poplar or Solid MDF Center Panel)
• Solid MDF (1 or 5-Piece)
• View all Paint Grade Wood Species

For best results we recommend ordering Maple due to the natural characteristics of this material, the grain is less likely to show through after painting.
