Stain: Natural / Clear Coat (no stain)
Wood: Cherry

Our Natural (No Stain) is a clear coat that allows all the natural color, grain, and character of the wood to show through.

Natural / Clear Coat (no stain)

Catalyzed Conversion Varnish is the base of our Natural (clear coat). Conversion varnishes produce high quality, abrasion resistant finishes. Conversion varnishes are also fast drying, they contain self sealers and they have excellent non-yellowing properties. WalzCraft Sealers and Topcoats are applied on a flat line finishing system which distributes a perfectly even amount of material throughout each product.

Although a Natural / Clear Coat (no stain) is technically not a stain color, the application of just this clear finish will change the color and appearance of most solid wood and veneer. On certain species the color change can be very noticeable. Because of this, WalzCraft strongly recommends that final decisions regarding the selection of a wood species should always be made with finished samples, even if the finish is only a Natural / Clear Coat (no stain).

Common Wood Species and Grade combinations when using a natural (no stain finish):

  • Cherry – (Select/Premium Grade)
  • Cherry – No Sap – (Natural/Standard Grade)
  • Cherry – (Rustic Grade)
