Commitment to Sustainability

At WalzCraft, we believe in responsible environmental stewardship and have a long history of supporting sustainable forestry efforts. For many years, we proudly sponsored the Hardwood Forestry Fund (HFF) to help promote hardwood timber growth, responsible forest management, and environmental education. Our contributions, along with others, helped HFF plant and manage over 4 million trees.

The Hardwood Forestry Fund has since dissolved, but our commitment to sustainability remains strong. We continue to seek new opportunities to support and sponsor responsible forestry initiatives that align with our mission of preserving natural resources for future generations.

Supporting Reforestation Efforts

WalzCraft has long been dedicated to reforestation, sponsoring the planting of one hardwood seedling for every 100 board feet of finished product we ship. Our contributions through HFF helped establish high-quality timber stands in cooperation with local, state, and federal forestry departments. As we move forward, we remain committed to investing in sustainable forestry programs that ensure a healthy environment for years to come.

Environmental Recognition

Gifford Pinchot Award

In 2006, WalzCraft received the Gifford Pinchot Award, the highest environmental honor presented by the Hardwood Forestry Fund. Named after the first Chief of the U.S. Forest Service, Gifford Pinchot was a pioneer in conservation ethics. This award recognized WalzCraft for corporate responsibility, leadership, and achievements that contribute to the sustainability of our nation’s natural resources.

Although the HFF has closed its doors, our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility continues. We look forward to new sponsorships and ongoing contributions to responsible forestry initiatives.
