All Louvered Doors are available with various louver slat widths and made to order to your exact custom sizes, large or small. Doors can also be built with a center rail or center stile allowing one opening to have louvers and the other a raised or flat panel. OPERABLE LOUVERED DOORS
Operable Louvered Doors feature movable louvers commonly used as Interior Wood Shutter as a window covering. By opening and closing the louvers you can adjust air flow as well as sunlight.
OPEN LOUVERED DOORS
Open Louvered Doors offer air flow and ventilation using fixed louvers. These doors are also commonly referred to as Plantation Style Doors used Interior Doors, Closet Doors and Cafe Style Doors.
CLOSED LOUVERED DOORS
Closed Louvered Doors mimic the appearance of open louvers using louvered applied molding.
Operable Louvered Doors
Operable Louvered Doors / Wood Shutters feature adjustable louvers which allow you to regulate air flow (ventilation) and shade sunlight. While they‘re most commonly used as interior shutters for windows, they can be customized to many other applications. Each is built to your exact sizes and crafted to the highest level of quality on specially engineered louver door CNC machinery.
These doors are available in any of our wood species options and in thicknesses of ¾”, 1”, 1 ¼”, 1½”, and 2″.
Further customization includes the customer’s choice of 1″, 1 ½”, 2″, and 2 ½” wide Louver Slat Moldings, as well as adding a center panel and finishing options. The top, bottom, and center rails may need to be adjusted in size to accommodate full louver placement within an opening.
Open Louvered Doors
WalzCraft manufactures Non-Operable Open Louvered Doors / Wood Shutters (Plantation Style Doors) precision built to your exact custom sizes. Our craftsmen CNC machine each component, then precision-fit each individual louver to the frame, ensuring a tight fit and rattle-free door. Their efforts result in superior quality, look, and feel to the doors.
Open Louver Doors are available with five different widths of louvers (slants). Individual louvers widths include: 1″, 1 ¼”, 1 ½”, 2″, and 2 ½” wide Louvers. For air flow or venting, WalzCraft manufacturers these doors with a 2.5mm gap or spacing between each louver slant.
For more customization, these accent doors are available in thicknesses of ¾”, 1”, 1 ¼”, 1 ½”, and 2″, with the option of adding a center panel and finishing options. The top, bottom, and center rails may need to be adjusted in size to accommodate full louver placement within an opening.

Closed Louvered Doors / False Wood Shutters
WalzCraft also offers Closed Louvered Doors / Wood Shutters (“false louvers”) at ¾” and 1” standard thicknesses. The Closed Louver look is created using interlocking louvered moldings that are hand-applied to a ¼” veneer panel to offer a similar look at a lower cost than open louvers.
Closed Louver Doors / Wood Shutters are available with 1″, 1 ½”, and 2″ Slat Moldings similar to our Open Louver options. Also available with a combination 2″ Slat / Bead Molding or interlocking Bead Moldings of various sizes.
To create your own “false louvered” door look, WalzCraft offers Closed Louver & Beaded Applied Moldings in 8′ lengths, available in all standard wood species.
