Mahogany – Mixed Species – Value / Budget Grade

Wood Species / Grade Description

Weight: 2.254 Lb/Sq. Ft (Based on 3/4″ thickness)

Door Dimensions of Wood Species Pictured: 12” W x 18” H

This “Price Point Product” may contain narrow staves, sapwood, heartwood, pin knots, and all other natural characteristics commonly found in the Mahogany family of trees. This grade will not be color and grain matched, but will be structurally sound and should prove to be a good value for your dollar. Expect a large range of color throughout the entire order as Sapele, Sipo, Plantation, and other species of Mahogany are all allowed.

This grade is most desirable for dark stain colors, but do expect some color variations from stave to stave due to the makeup of the raw material.

Special Note About Photosensitive Darkening

Due to the natural photosensitive darkening process that occurs with Cherry, Lyptus, Mahogany and Sapele, we advise that you finish these products immediately upon receiving.

If a color variation transpires, simply exposing the product to direct natural sunlight will help to result in a more even shading. Traces of shadowing (darkening) may be visible, and considered acceptable, on the back sides of product.

Disclaimer for Color

Actual product color and detail may vary due to individual computer preferences and monitor settings. We highly recommend ordering an actual product sample of the species and stain color to eliminate any confusion.
