This veneer consists of a mixture of heartwood and sapwood often referred to as “Calico”. It includes a mix of light tan and light brown tones with very few defects of any sort. Expect about 4 to 6 face splices per 4 x 8 Sheet.
This product is intended for a more contemporary look. If consistency in grain or color is important for individual doors and/or drawer fronts that will be installed directly above or below one another, we highly recommend utilizing WalzCraft’s Continuous Grain Option.
We recommend a Natural/Clear Coat (no stain) whenever using this species. If a stain color is required, we highly recommend a light-colored “Spray No Wipe” stain process, not a Wiping stain process when using this species.
Note: All Wood Species Samples are shown with a Natural / Clear Coat (No Stain) Finish and will look different when ordered unfinished.
