Oak – Red – Quarter Sawn – Natural / Standard Grade

Wood Species / Grade Description

Door Dimensions of Wood Species Pictured: 12” W x 18” H

This species can be compared to the Natural grade Red Oak with the only difference being the way it is cut at the sawmill. Quarter Sawn is achieved by cutting at right angles to the circumference of the tree producing a flake-like look on the face of the lumber.

When manufacturing Oak Quarter Sawn products in solid wood or veneer, WalzCraft strives to include an even distribution of the ray-like look throughout the face of the product only.

This grade is most desirable for medium to dark stain colors.

The veneer center panel is approximately .220″ (5.6mm) thick and has an “A” grade face with a #1 back on an MDF core.

Note: All Wood Species Samples are shown with a Natural / Clear Coat (No Stain) Finish and will look different when ordered unfinished.
