Oak – Red – Rift Sawn (Straight Grain) – Natural / Standard Grade

Wood Species / Grade Description

Door Dimensions of Wood Species Pictured: 12” W x 18” H

This species can be compared to the Natural grade Red Oak with the only difference being the way it is cut at the sawmill. Rift Sawn (Straight Grain) is achieved by a cut that is midway between the plain and quarter sawn method. This cut gives each piece a thin pencil-line or combed look, otherwise known as a straight grain look.

Highly recommended when using a Natural/Clear Coat (no stain) to light stain color.

The veneer center panel is approximately .220″ (5.6mm) thick and has an “A” grade face with a #1 back on an MDF core.

Note: All Wood Species Samples are shown with a Natural / Clear Coat (No Stain) Finish and will look different when ordered unfinished.
