Wood Species / Grade Description
Weight: 2.579 Lb/Sq. Ft (Based on 3/4″ thickness)
Door Dimensions of Wood Species Pictured: 12” W x 18” H
This species can be compared to the Natural grade Red Oak with the only difference being the way it is cut at the sawmill. Quarter Sawn is achieved by cutting at right angles to the circumference of the tree producing a heavy ray/flake-like look on the face of the lumber.
When manufacturing Oak Quarter Sawn products in solid wood or veneer, WalzCraft strives to include an even distribution of a heavy ray/flake-like look throughout the face of the product only.
This grade is carefully matched to assure that 100% of the panel staves and 100% of the Stile and Rail parts have easily apparent Quarter Sawn rays/flakes.
Highly recommended when using a Natural/Clear Coat (no stain) to light stain color.
Note: All Wood Species Samples are shown with a Natural / Clear Coat (No Stain) Finish and will look different when ordered unfinished.
