Raw MDF
Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) is available in thicknesses of 7/32″ (5.55mm)(as shown), 3/8″ (9.5mm), 1/2″ (12.7mm), 5/8″ (15.9mm), 11/16″ (17.4mm), 3/4″ (19.1mm), 7/8″ (22.2mm), 1″ (25.4mm), and 1 1/8″ (28.6mm). MDF may be ordered rough-cut to size (RCSS), rip to rough width (RTRW), or precision cut to size (PCTS).
1/4″ MDF for Cabinet Refacing
The 1/4″ Raw MDF can be secured with pin nails and panel adhesive. The material thickness makes this product a good choice for strengthening cabinets with thin backs and side panels. However, the MDF core may have a tendency to create more dust while cutting and/or fracture when pin nailing. Common woodworking tools such as table saws, sanders, and routers work well with this product.
