This grade is highly recommended when using a natural to light stain color.

The veneer center panel is approximately .220″ (5.6mm) thick and has an “A” grade face with a #1 back on an MDF core.

Special Note About Photosensitive Darkening

Due to the natural photosensitive darkening process that occurs with Cherry, Lyptus, Mahogany and Sapele, we advise that you finish these products immediately upon receiving.

If a color variation transpires, simply exposing the product to direct natural sunlight will help to result in a more even shading. Traces of shadowing (darkening) may be visible, and considered acceptable, on the back sides of product.

Straight grain veneer is made from quarter sliced veneer to maintain a true straight grain look. Expect about 4 to 6 face splices per 4 x 8 Sheet.

This product is intended for a more contemporary look. If consistency in grain or color is important for individual doors and/or drawer fronts that will be installed directly above or below one another, we highly recommend utilizing WalzCraft’s Continuous Grain Option.

To reduce the likelihood of a blotchy finish, we highly recommend a “Spray No Wipe” stain process, not a Wiping stain process when using this species.
