This is an all sapwood veneer, but expect a small amount of occasional heartwood. It is very light yellow to white in color and may have slight color variation along with numerous areas of Curly Grain. Expect about 4 to 6 face splices per 4 x 8 Sheet.
This product is intended for a more contemporary look. If consistency in grain or color is important for individual doors and/or drawer fronts that will be installed directly above or below one another, we highly recommend utilizing WalzCraft’s Continuous Grain Option.
We recommend a Natural/Clear Coat (no stain) whenever using this species so that the curly character does not get masked over by the stain color. If a stain color is required, we highly recommend a light-colored “Spray No Wipe” stain process, not a Wiping stain process when using this species.
Note: All Wood Species Samples are shown with a Natural / Clear Coat (No Stain) Finish and will look different when ordered unfinished.
