Oak White Quarter Sawn Natural / Standard Grade offers the same natural characteristics as Natural/ Standard Grade, with the key difference being how the wood is cut. Quarter Sawn lumber is sliced at a right angle to the tree’s growth rings, creating a ray or flake-like pattern on the surface. WalzCraft aims to achieve an even distribution of this Quarter Sawn figure across the face of each product. However, some parts—such as panel staves or stiles and rails—may display lighter figure or a Rift Sawn, straight-grain appearance. For projects requiring strong Quarter Sawn character on all parts, consider our Heavy Ray/Flake grade. This wood is best suited for medium to dark stain colors. Please note that Natural / Standard Grade orders do not carry a warranty for color consistency.
