A Day of Discovery: Students Explore the Trades

Amid the buzz of activity and the clatter of tools, the La Crosse Area Builders Association transformed an ordinary Wednesday into an extraordinary exploration of trades for over 1,000 high school students from 48 schools. The event, held on April 24, 2024, was a vibrant showcase of career pathways. At the heart of the event was the WalzCraft booth, where students became craftsmen, piecing together a small cabinet door that they could take home—a tangible reminder of their potential future in the trades. The booth buzzed with enthusiasm from start to finish.

The event was more than just building and welding; it was a canvas of creativity. Students did everything from working on a truck engine, painting a wall, laying bricks, and even decorated cookies. Each activity a stroke in the broader picture of construction and manufacturing careers. This is the second year WalzCraft has participated in the event. With the foundation laid this year, the future promises even more opportunities for students to hammer out their paths in the world of trades.

WalzCraft Manufacturing Day

October is a month dedicated to celebrating manufacturing, with the first Friday earmarked as Manufacturing Day. MFG Day shines a spotlight on the significance of manufacturing and its pivotal role in strengthening local, national, and international economies. WalzCraft, as a leading manufacturer, takes immense pride in offering employment opportunities in the La Crosse area and crafting top-notch products.

This year, we marked MFG Day on October 6th, 2023. In honor of the occasion, WalzCraft gifted exclusive t-shirts to our devoted Manufacturing Team as a token of appreciation for their relentless efforts. The festivities didn’t stop there – a catered lunch was arranged for the entire company.

We extend our gratitude to all our Team Members for consistently making our products stand out as Something Special from Wisconsin™.

Raising Awareness & Funds for Alzheimer’s

ENDALZ Walk and Fest

WalzCraft Supports the Walk to End Alzheimer’s

WalzCraft proudly sponsored this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s in La Crosse, WI. WalzCraft’s owner, Richard Walz, lost a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease on November 6, 2022, and we are proud to help support the Walk to End Alz in his honor.

Event Highlights:

  • Date: September 16, 2023
  • Location: Riverside Park, La Crosse, WI
  • Participants: 250+ walkers, 30+ teams
  • Fundraising Goal: Aiming for over $100,000 by year-end.

Team Efforts

Our team, the “Walz Walkers,” contributed by organizing company-wide Brat and Bake Sales and collecting generous donations. All proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association in its mission of care, support, and research. We’re grateful for all the support received. If you missed out, it’s not too late! Donations are open until Dec. 31, 2023, at act.alz.org/lacrosse.

WalzCraft Celebrates MFG Day

Manufacturing Day 2021

October is Manufacturing Month, and the first Friday of the month is Manufacturing Day. MFG Day promotes modern manufacturing and the importance it has on local, national, and global economies. As a manufacturer, WalzCraft is proud to provide jobs in the La Crosse community and build high-quality products.

This year MFG Day landed on October 1st, 2021. To celebrate, WalzCraft provided custom t-shirts to our dedicated Manufacturing Team to thank them for their hard work. The celebration continued with a company-wide catered lunch. 

We are grateful for all of our Team Members and would like to thank them for making our products Something Special from Wisconsin™.
