Veneer Edgebanding is a wood veneer that is pre-sanded and offered Unfinished or Prefinished in Rolls of various widths for many woodworking applications. Edgebanding is most often used to edge Contemporary veneered slab cabinet door styles and plywood shelving. Another common use is lining the edges of Frameless style cabinet boxes to match the end panels of the cabinet box. Another use includes the top edges of plywood drawer boxes to give a solid wood look where raw plywood would otherwise be exposed.

Center Panel Profiles

View Center Panel Profiles for Cabinet Doors in our Online Catalog.

Center Panel profile options are available in a range of designs from subtle and classic to innovative and creative. Most center panels are 3/8″ or 3/4″ thick solid wood, available in both Raised Panel looks as well as Reversed (Flat) Solid Wood Panel look (PR324-RVSCP) such as commonly used in Shaker Cabinet Door designs.

Most Raised Panel profile designs are available in different reveal widths to satisfy both your design and functional needs. A common functional example is when the height of your drawer front does not allow for the use of a wider reveal profile used on a door. In most cases, you would choose a center panel profile from the same Design Family that has a smaller reveal or choose to use our Reversed (Flat) Solid Wood Panel (PR324-RVSCP).

In addition to the Standard Raised and Reversed Panels, we also offer Solid Wood Recessed Raised Panels and profiles specifically designed of our, which feature deeper profiles.

  • All Center Panel profiles are drawn to scale
  • Choice of Center Panel profile may be specified at NO additional cost
  • Center Panel profiles marked with a “C” indicate Curved Product availability
  • All Center Panel Profiles are available in MDF when using Paint Grade Stile & Rail material

2/2011 – Pinless Door Construction: A Quality Standard from WalzCraft

WalzCraft has always been committed to providing you with truly the highest level of quality; to assure this we manufacture all of our Traditional and Mitered doors using a “pinless” Construction Method.

Cabinetmakers and homeowners alike can appreciate the organic look of the “pinless” doors. More simply stated, steel pins are “foreign objects” in solid wood. Eliminating the use of pins in the door joints, leaves one with the impression that the door is a single object, rather than 5 pieces. The absence of pins also eliminates the need to fill every pin hole with wood putty in an effort to hide them. The end result is a professionally crafted door that homeowners will appreciate for years to come.

Once glued and assembled, doors are clamped under pressure until the glue has had plenty of time to form a strong bond in the joints. With our clamping technique there is adequate time for the glue to cure and for clamp operators to inspect joints for precise alignment. This results in a tighter, more seamlessly perfect, pinless joint insuring higher quality and improved appearance. The strength of a joint is in the glue, which is why WalzCraft utilizes a customized male and female tenon that maximizes glue adhesion.

A Pinned Door from a Competitor

The above image shows a door from a competitor that is constructed using steel pins.

All in all, you benefit by receiving a truly exceptional product, one that you can be proud to be associated with; while your client benefits by having beautiful long-lasting cabinet components in their home. This is ultimately why WalzCraft has always set our quality standards so high.
